Many people are under the misconception that when you become a Christian you can no longer have fun. I do not believe this! There are changes that happen within when you accept Jesus Christ into your heart this is true. The Holy Spirit fills you with a desire to be different. Your sins are washed away and you are new. This doesn’t mean you will be without sin any longer. There are things you should give up and try to change, some things should be done in moderation. His word goes through all of this. But God! God fills us with such a feeling that these changes seem natural. They seem like the answer you have been looking for. The changes you make come without feeling like a sacrifice of your former life. Why? Because a life with God is so fulfilling! You don’t even notice some of the things that you leave behind being gone. You develop a need and desire that is unexplainable. A need and desire to not partake in certain things or be around certain things. The joy God sets spinning inside is a welcome whirlwind! Life is still good, life is still fun! The change God brings about is one that will joyfully carry you to and through eternity. Let go of the ways of this world and let God show you the way.
